Overview of the IDEF Registry Registration Process:

Determine your role(s)Determine your role(s) in the Identity Ecosystem (i.e., provider of digital identity services, provider of web services, user of web services)

Perform Self-AssessmentBased on your role(s), perform a self assessment to determine your full or partial compliance with the IDEF Requirements

Complete the IDEF Registry FormDuring phase 1 registrants will need to contact the IDESG concierge at

Submit the FormThe IDESG concierge will review the form, contact you with any questions and then publish your listing to the registry.









Completion and submission of the Registry listing serves as both

(a) an application, made by the Service Provider indicated below, for posting of its Self-Assessment Matrix on the IDEF Registry, subject to the terms of the IDESG IDEF Registry Supplemental Terms of Use and the IDEF Registry Data Usage and Handling Policy


(b) at attestation to successful or in-progress completion of the self-assessment process through application of the IDEF Baseline Requirements.
